The National Stock Exchange (NSE IX) on May 15, 2026, issued a circular regarding the Guidelines for Due-Bill (Interim Accounting) Framework for Corporate Actions on NSE IFSC Receipts.
The following has been stated:-
•NSE IFSC Ltd. issued guidelines for the Due-Bill framework applicable to NSE IFSC Receipts linked to US stocks undergoing large corporate actions.
•The framework applies only to stock splits or stock dividends of 25% or more, where the Ex-Date is set after the Record Date.
•A Due Bill Period will run from the Record Date until the business day before the Ex-Date, ensuring buyers during this period receive the corporate action benefits.
•The Due Bill creates an obligation on the seller’s Clearing Member to transfer additional split receipts to the buyer’s Clearing Member.
•Corporate action distribution will be centrally managed by HDFC Bank IFSC Banking Unit and India International Depository IFSC Ltd., with no manual action required from Broker Dealers.
•Broker Dealers have been advised to inform investors about the Due Bill treatment and update their back-office and accounting systems for accurate reporting.
